SUSTAINABILITY & CLIMATE PROTECTION

We live in a region with pure air, intact nature and a sea full of raw materials. The topics of sustainability and environmental protection are therefore very important to us. We mainly buy fairly produced, fresh food from our region in order to avoid unnecessary emissions. Our building technology is always up to date and ensures consistent energy optimization using, among other things, the latest control technology and energy lamps. We pay attention to packaging reduction, the optimized use of cleaning products and water and ensure sustainable action through conscious garden design and investments in e-mobility and charging structures.

We only recently had ourselves certified with the DEHOGA environmental check. The basis for these tests is a catalog of over 80 criteria and the evaluations of our consumption of waste, electricity, water and the purchase of regional products, many of which our guests can see directly.

WHAT DO WE CONTRIBUTE TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION?

  • Architecture and construction in the typical local style with local materials

WASTE MANAGEMENT

  • Proper disposal of batteries and hazardous substances (paint, oil, etc.)
  • Separation of waste into paper, metals, plastic, textiles, glass, porcelain, organic waste and residual waste
  • Weekly quantitative recording of waste volume

  • We are connected to a public sewage treatment plant

CLEANING SUPPLIES

  • Best possible avoidance of chemical cleaning agents by using dry steam cleaners
  • Use of biodegradable chemicals wherever possible
  • Use of an osmosis system to reduce cleaning agents
  • Dosing pumps for cleaning agents

SHOPPING

  • A large part of our food is purchased from local farmers and producers
  • Drinks are sourced locally whenever possible. Nationally sourced orders are collected and placed as bulk orders
  • Use of cosmetic products and massage oils that are fairly made from natural raw materials
  • Use of reusable bottles
  • Purchasing recycled paper
