The risk course for sporty guests
This course should only be climbed by those who want to challenge themselves. It is the most difficult and physically demanding course and leads up to 10 meters high. It can only be used from the age of 13.

Fancy a base jump? Then the "climbing tree" invites you to do so. At a height of 11 meters you can throw yourself into the depths.

Where is the climbing forest?

The Hohe Düne climbing forest is located near Rostock and is also easy to reach for guests on a Baltic Sea holiday in Warnemünde. The best way to reach it from our hotel is via the ferry, which takes you directly from Warnemünde to Hohe Düne. From here it is only a few minutes' drive to the facility.

Is climbing really safe there?

You can be sure that nothing will happen to you while climbing. The Hohe Düne climbing forest uses a safety system with the highest safety level E, which complies with ISO DIN 15567. The consistent system even makes re-hooking at the individual stations superfluous. Before the climbing fun begins, you will be briefed on the safety scheme by the on-site supervisors. First you do a few exercises to become familiar with the system. If you have practiced a few times, nothing can happen later on the treetops. 

How much does admission to the climbing forest cost?

The Hohe Düne climbing forest staggers the prices according to the age of the guests. Children up to 12 years pay 16 euros entry. Even little dwarfs aged 3 and 4 can come along and pay an entrance fee of 5 euros. Adults who come individually to the climbing forest have to pay 23 euros.

There are two parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the climbing forest. A parking lot is located directly on the beach in Markgrafenheide. Another parking lot is directly opposite and is also only a few meters away from the entrance to the climbing forest.

When is the climbing forest in Hohe Düne open?

The climbing forest only opens seasonally and is closed in winter. It can usually be visited from the end of March and is open to visitors until the end of October. After admission, you have 2,5 hours to climb and complete the course - the physical condition of even the most experienced participants should hardly allow for more. The opening of the course depends on the weather. In extreme weather such as strong wind or rain, the climbing forest remains closed.
