Accessibility Statement

Scope

This declaration applies to all digital content and pages of https://www.warnemuender-hof.de/ – including mobile version, contact form, booking widget, location map, newsletter and PDF documents (e.g. terms and conditions).


Legal basis

The declaration is based on the requirements of the BITV 2.0 in accordance with the Disability Equality Act (BGG) and is based on the four principles: Perceptibility, usability, Comprehensibility and robustness.


Current status

The website is structured with clear headings, a responsive design, and form-based elements. We regularly conduct automated (axe, WAVE) and manual (keyboard navigation, screen reader) checks. However, digital hurdles remain, particularly with PDFs, contrast settings, navigation, and external widgets.


Non-accessible content

PDF documents (e.g. terms and conditions, brochures)
– Usually insufficiently structured for screen readers (missing tags, chapter headings).
– Measure: Accessible PDF preparation by Q4 2025.

Images & Alt Text
– Some icons, banners and graphics do not have meaningful alternative text.
– Action: Add meaningful alt texts by Q3 2025.

Color contrast & visual elements
– Certain texts, buttons and links fall below the required contrast ratio of 4,5:1.
– Action: Adjust color scheme and contrast values ​​by Q2 2025.

Navigation & keyboard control
– Embedded maps, external links and forms are not always fully accessible via tab.
– Skip links and visible focus indicators will be integrated by Q2 2025.

Forms & Input Assistance
– Contact and booking forms do not always contain ARIA labels or visible error messages.
– Action: Add ARIA support and valid error feedback by Q4 2025.

Multimedia content
– Embedded videos and animations do not currently offer subtitles or alternative text.
– Action: Add subtitles and transcripts by Q1 2026.

External widgets (e.g. booking tool)
– Third-party plugins (e.g. booking widget, live chat) often do not have correct ARIA roles, focus control or linguistically understandable elements.
– Measure: Exchange with providers or own barrier-free implementation by Q1 2026.
